Stanley Cup Finals Game 7 – June 15, 2011
Some pics from last night’s Stanley Cup Final Game 7 between Canucks and Bruins. It was good at the beginning and just as I expected, it turned out real bad.
We were downtown until midnight, we saw a lot of bad things. We didn’t participate in any stupid actions. Let’s make that clear. I don’t have any other pictures because I was afraid that something might happen to my camera so I left it in the car. Next time, I’ll never leave my camera again. I blame myself for that.
Stanley Cup Finals Game 2 – June 4, 2011
For Game 2, I went downtown again to capture more Canucks energy. Here’s some of them.
Stanley Cup Finals Game 1 – June 1, 2011
It’s been 17 years (1994) since the last time the Vancouver Canucks stepped into the NHL Stanley Cup Finals stage. 2011 marked the Canucks 40th anniversary. 2011 also was a very successful year for the team… they broke and set new records as individuals and as a team. This was also the year where me and my wife can honestly say that we saw all the games, of course, on TV. We love this team and will always love this team.
The 2011 Stanley Cup finals is between my beloved Vancouver Canucks and the Boston Bruins. Canucks never had the cup since it entered NHL and the Bruins being one of the original six that formed NHL, have 5 already (last was in 1972).
Every Canucks home game, there’s a big party at the Plaza (outside Roger’s Arena). Also, CBC, the Canadian broadcaster of the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs put two giant screens outside their Georgia/Hamilton studios for lots of people to watch and enjoy the games. These are the only two places I can go to since I can’t afford to buy tickets for the games.
Vancouver Canucks – Salish Art Style
Wow and another wow!! Time sure flies by so fast when you are enjoying life. Last time I posted on this now very cyber-dusty blog of mine was November of 2009. It’s now May of 2011. Can we just say that life hit me so hard that I was knocked unconscious and I was in comatose state from November 2009 till the start of the 2011 NHL Playoffs season?
What about those Canucks, eh? DAMN!!! I’m proud to be a fan. If I have any artistic talent in me, I’d certainly do something like what I’m about to share with you.
Behold the work of Andy Everson, a Northwest Coast Artist. I stumble upon this little gem while on Facebook reading some messages in a Vancouver Canucks Group. Without further ado… here they are:
Vancouver Canucks vs Dallas Stars – October 11, 2009
Me and my buddy James went to the second home game of the Vancouver Canucks. It was against the Dallas Stars. This was my second time going to a regular season game and it was the second time I went to a Canucks game that week…lol. Actually, the day before, we also saw the Canucks during their open practice at GM Place. That is seeing them three times in one week. Canucks fan or what?
So anyways, I managed to sneak my camera in (they don’t allow lenses higher than 70mm – hence “sneak”) and here’s some of the shots.
